The Building
Faculty
House was originally built as the rectory to the Cathedral located
adjacent to the property on Atlantic Avenue. The school was
discontinued many years ago and the building fell into disrepair.
The developers found the unusual building, really two separate
structures joined at the middle, could best accommodate their
intention to create a very high quality residential condominium
by designing an elaborate reconfiguration of the space. The
effort to instill a special character to the new building revealed
itself in these unique spaces.

About
The Neighborhood
The
area in which Faculty House is located is one that has experienced
a dramatic rise in interest and value over the last few years.
Clinton Hill/Fort Greene has traditionally been one of the prime
brownstone districts in Brooklyn. The corridor along Atlantic
Avenue has experienced a substantial increase in value as one
condominium project after the next comes on line. Anchoring
this corridor is the planned Atlantic Terminal development that
will bring over a thousand housing units and, at its far end,
a sports stadium. Clearly the area combines the best of a traditional
neighborhood alongside a dynamic and growing tide of real estate
investments and improvements.
The commercial corridor along Fulton Street brings a multitude
of retail and entertainment venues within easy walking distance.
Transportation can be found along the C subway line on Fulton
Street. The area also has extensive parking lots.
Faculty
House Condominium presents a real asset to its community, and
living in these beautiful new homes provides the buyer with
the experience of gracious brownstone living with the quality
and convenience of an entirely new construction.
